Community-Based Organization Training
gRo offers customized training for community-based organizations designed to strengthen community leadership, organizational effectiveness, and locally driven problem-solving. Our approach centers the experience and knowledge of community members while providing practical tools that organizations can apply in their work.
Each training begins with an initial orientation and “blue sky” conversation to understand the organization’s goals, priorities, and community context. We then review organizational materials and conduct a brief pre-assessment to ensure the training reflects the organization’s existing work and needs.
From there, gRo designs and delivers an interactive training that combines facilitated discussion, applied exercises, and peer learning. Sessions focus on strengthening organizational capacity, clarifying mission and strategy, and identifying practical next steps for community-centered work.
Following the training, participants complete a short reflection or assessment to help measure growth and learning. gRo then provides a concise summary of insights and recommendations, along with optional follow-up support to help organizations continue building their capacity and impact.
Our goal is simple: to support community-based organizations in developing the tools, confidence, and shared understanding needed to strengthen the communities they serve.
